Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the Hearthify app collects, how it's used, and your choices. It applies to Hearthify on both iOS and Android.

The short version: Hearthify doesn't have user accounts and doesn't run a server. Everything you enter — your profile, checklists, meal plans — stays stored locally on your device. We never see it, and we don't sell or share data because there's no data to share.

Information We Collect

Hearthify does not require you to create an account, sign up, or log in.

The app does not collect or transmit any personal information to us or to any third party. All data you enter into the app is stored locally on your device only, using on-device storage. This includes:

  • Household profile details (e.g. number of bedrooms, bathrooms, pets)
  • Diet preferences
  • Household checklist and inventory progress
  • Meal plans
  • Any custom categories or items you create

Because Hearthify does not operate a backend server that receives this information, it is never sent to or stored on Hearthify's servers, or any third-party server.

Notifications

Hearthify may ask permission to send you notifications — for example, a reminder that an item is expiring, or a weekly summary reminder. These are local, on-device notifications scheduled directly by the app on your phone. They are not sent from a remote server, and no data is transmitted or tracked as part of sending them.

You can turn notifications off at any time in your device's system settings.

Data Sharing & Third Parties

Hearthify does not sell or share personal data with third parties, because it does not collect any in the first place. The app does not integrate any advertising SDKs, and does not use any third-party analytics or tracking services.

Data Security & Your Control

Since all app data stays on your device, you're in control of it at all times. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage permanently deletes this data — we don't hold a copy, so we can't recover it for you. We recommend the usual device-level protections (passcode, biometric lock, device backups) to keep data on your device secure.

Children's Privacy

Hearthify is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app doesn't collect personal information from any user, this holds true regardless of a user's age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if the app's functionality changes or for legal reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date above.
